The Technical world is ever-expanding. Every day we have new and better frameworks, libraries or even languages being published. Open Source, Machine Learning and Blockchain are to name a few. This week at the Women Who Code Mentorship Program, our agenda was to focus on these and walk with the fast pacing world.

This week’s mentorship call has been one of my favourites. Himanshi Ma’am asked us about our experience of the previous week and then we moved on towards this week’s agenda. She assigned us the following tasks-

Consolidate Your LinkedIn Profile: As a sophomore, I have never tried to strengthen my LinkedIn profile. But this week, I tried framing the most appropriate “About Me” section in my profile. I also added the description for all my past experience section. I feel that having a strong and appealing LinkedIn profile is very much necessary for building connections and expanding your network. This article might prove beneficial for it!

Actively contribute to Open Sorce Projects: “Linux” is the best example of how powerful Open Source is. I have participated in Girl Script Summer of Code’21. So before the event starts, I spent this week filtering out the best projects where I can work upon.

Make a mini-project on Machine Learning: This part was a bit tough for me. As I had no prior knowledge of Python, I dedicated my time covering the basics of Python. I have made it a point to finish the project in the near future as I’ll require more practice before diving into Machine Learning.

Bonus 😎:

During this week’s call, we discussed two coding questions. Just like an actual interview, we discussed the time/space complexities of the problem and how to come up with an optimised approach.

The questions we discussed were:

https://leetcode.com/problems/merge-two-sorted-lists/

We also discussed the followup questions and how to stay calm and interact with the interviewer.

Overall, this week was another great experience as a mentee. Looking forward to the final week of this wonderful journey.
