My experience as a Mentee in Women Who Code Delhi Mentorship — Week 5
Goodbyes are definitely not easy!
The agenda for this week was to improve our online presence. Before the week’s meet, Himanshi Ma’am had told us to update our LinkedIn profile.
I updated my profile adding the appropriate About Me and also added the descriptions of the Work Experience I had. Also, she reviewed our Resume! Getting my resume reviewed and improving it with her suggestions, really boosted my confidence.
During the meet, she reviewed the updates we made to our LinkedIn Profile. We also discussed a question, it’s time complexity and how it can be improved!
She again emphasized being consistent in solving coding questions. That’s the key to improve our DSA skills.
Another thing which Ma’am told was to improve our Github home page. Well, the new feature rolled out by github has now become a major parameter to give a good impression to the recruiter. I also spent my week improving it!
This weekend was International Women’s Day. Thus, I got a lot of chance to attend webinars, hackathons and coding contests. I did attend my first Hackathon as guided by my mentor! Here’s what I made: Saathi -Empowering Women. Adding another achievement and project to my resume 😇
The past 5 weeks have been amazing. The mentorship program was a great learning experience for me. I got aware of the many opportunities that we have, corrected myself where I was going wrong and most importantly learnt to come out of my comfort zone and gain confidence. I Will always be grateful to WWC-Delhi and Himanshi Ma’am for this wonderful experience!
